Thousands have disappeared at the US-Mexico border while trying to migrate. Their bodies lay unidentified, mistreated, exploited and politicized. BONE STORIES is a film about irreparable harm of disappearance, the existential crisis this causes among the living and dead, and a small group of scientists using isotopes found in the bones of the dead to trace them to their homelands.
